As a graduating senior on the track to law school from Stony Brook University’s  Engineering & Applied Sciences Department (with a minor in Philosophy), I was excited to discover, per my Professor’s suggestion, your opening for an internship position at UNCITRAL-RCAP. I believe that I would be an asset to your program. This internship would provide me with the ideal opportunity to assist your organization and to expand my research skills.

In my past work experience as an advisor in facilitating connection between Companies and their clients abroad, I have developed strong writing and editing skills.

For example, one of my main duties is to prepare various documents on agreements and meeting reports, as well as research, which deal with issues related to trade opportunities, market research, existing legal framework in countries of potential markets .
This duty requires meticulous writing and editing skills, and an ability to convey complex ideas clearly. I have prepared dozens of pieces of documentation and received praise for the clarity of my writing.

I have had a great deal of research experience in technology assessment , intellectual property law, and Applications Software for Information Management. Most of my experience is in technology law. I am currently conducting research in our school on existing legal frameworks as it relates to refugee populations and the use of ICT technology and the potential threats and benefits its implication can pose to refugees while residing in refugee camps.

Academically, my extensive coursework as an honors student in Technological Systems Management  has enabled me to gain an understanding of the characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of current and emerging technologies. I study this program because I think it is crucial to understand and learn how to apply engineering concepts that underlie technological change and that form the bridge from engineering to other disciplines. In the Information Age, successful practices in government, industry, education, and personal life depend on such understanding.

Eager to learn more about your operations, I would welcome the opportunity for a personal interview. Please let me know if there is any other information I can offer to support my candidacy for the law intern position; I hope to hear from you soon.
